The proposal to establish the Career Planning Application and Research Center within the body of Kayseri University Rectorate was reviewed during the Higher Education Executive Board meeting held on March 6, 2019. It was found to comply with the relevant provisions of Article 7/d-2, amended by Law No. 2880, of Law No. 2547. The unit officially commenced its activities with the regulation published in the Official Gazette on April 7, 2019.

As KAYÜ KARMER, we are aware that securing a place in the international arena is only possible through individuals who have developed themselves in every field. University education represents the most critical stage in the education and development of those who will shape the future of our country. Therefore, it is of great importance to adopt a career-oriented approach, distinct from other higher education institutions, to introduce all innovations and establish an academic perspective within university education. For this reason, we have embraced the fundamental goal of guiding students from the moment they enter the university to create career awareness, foster personal development, and assist them in making career plans. We are dedicated to raising skilled, preferred, globally employable, and leading graduates, while primarily embracing the vision of being a 'self-sustaining university.' Although our center may appear to focus solely on students, we also provide consultancy services to the administrative and academic staff of our university, who engage in various projects and have specific objectives for the future.

    • KAYÜ KARMER aims to ensure that its students and graduates recognize themselves, understand current and near-future work environments, and distinguish the universal trends in these fields. They are encouraged to question which fields their skills, equipment, and personality traits align with.

    • Through workshops and training sessions, we help them develop their skills, meet with professionals in the field, and discover what these professionals are looking for.

    • We work to ensure they hear about job and internship processes directly from primary sources and act accordingly, meet recruitment professionals to introduce themselves, establish the broadest possible professional networks, and prepare for future roles while still at university.
